Permit Center Hours of Operation:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please Note:
We will accept permit applications and submittals until 4:00 p.m. We will issue permits (pick- ups) and accept resubmittals until 4:15 p.m. (Please note: Customer Services opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. No payments can be made either before or after these times).
The City of Kent accepts the following forms of payment:
VISA, MasterCard, Cash and Checks.
Fill out an application for a home or general business license.
Applications, checklists and handouts for Building Services, Planning Services, Fire Prevention and Public Works construction and development permits and processes.
Land use, zoning, growth management and other planning actions associated with development of land.
