Kent Lions Skate Park in downtown Kent

Amenities include skate ramps/bowl/rails, drinking fountain, picnic table and public art. The park is located on land leased from Union Pacific Railroad and Puget Sound Energy. In June 1995, a Skate Park Development Team was formed with City Council approval to research the feasibility of a downtown skate park. The team consisted of 15 teens and two Parks staff. The park was dedicated and open for public use in 1996.
