Kent Parks have an enduring tradition

Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Services forms an integral part of the social fabric of our lives.

By preserving our environment, nurturing our children, serving special populations and providing activities and facilities that enhance our lives, the Parks Department is an important part of our community.

The Kent Parks Foundation, a registered non-profit organization, provides an opportunity to ensure that Kent remains a beautiful, healthy, and caring place to raise our children and enjoy our lives.  Gifts through the Kent Parks Foundation are tax-deductible as permitted by law.

2009 Kent Parks Foundation Gift Catalog

The Gift catalog (PDF, 2.5MB) provides an opportunity to share a gift with the community and Kent Parks and Recreation...gifts that will be enjoyed today and by future generations. Speaking of the future, take a look at some of our Big Dreams -2009. We would be happy to discuss your ideas, too!

The Gift Catalog is filled with specific items needed for our park programs, as expressed by our local community and Parks Department. Consider a gift in honor of birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, holidays, memorials, loved ones, or just because.

Not every need is listed in the Gift Catalog. Is your favorite park listed below? You may designate a gift directly to that park.

Please call 253 856-5110 or email to request a hard copy of the catalog or to discuss your ideas for leaving a legacy to Kent's parks, trails and open space.

Parks leave a lasting impression

For generations, parks have captured our imagination and enthusiasm while enhancing our quality of life.

The Kent Parks Foundation is continuing this rich tradition by leaving our park system better than we found it.

"Parks programs create a level playing field. When children play on a sports team, ethnic backgrounds are not present; they are simply a member of a team." Foundation Board Member
