Elected in 2005, Elizabeth Albertson is serving her second term. Elizabeth is chair of the Public Works committee and also serves on the Parks and Human Services committee. She is an active member of Sound Cities Association on the board of Regional Water Quality Committee. Prior to joining the council, Elizabeth served two years on the both the Land Use and Planning Board and the Human Services Commission. She also served as president of Meridian Elementary PTSA and as vice-president for the Kent Area Council for At-Risk Children and Youth.
Elizabeth is hard-working and energetic with a strong commitment to public service; she brings a sense of humor and people skills to her role as Councilmember. She has a Bachelor's Degree from The Evergreen State College where she studied public policy and community leadership.
Elizabeth and her husband Mark live in the Mill Creek neighborhood, have five children and enjoy being actively involved in making Kent a great place to live.
