Centennial Center Gallery   

Award winning artists from throughout the Puget Sound region exhibit at the Centennial Center Gallery. Exhibiting artists are selected during the annual Kent Summer Art Exhibit. Applications for this juried show are due in March of each year. 
Free and open to the public, all ages welcome.
Location: Centennial Center Gallery, 400 W Gowe St, Kent

Gallery Hours: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, closed holidays

150_BayerEarthworks    The Herbert Bayer Earthwork is a much loved public park, stormwater detention dam, and Modernist masterpiece. Learn more about this landscape and other art and reclamation sites in the Green River Valley.

Kids' Arts Day - March   

A wide variety of hands-on arts projects makes this a favorite annual event for elementary school children and their families. $10 admission for kids; adults and children 2 years old and younger are free. 
All hands-on projects are free with admission!
 
Occurs annually on the 1st Saturday in March in celebration of Youth Arts Month.

Student Art Walk - March  

Highlights the creativity of over 450 students from the Kent School District.  Artwork is displayed in twenty downtown Kent businesses and the Centennial Center Gallery.
Occurs annually during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of March, with the reception on the 2nd Friday.
 

2012 Dates: March 12-23
Reception: Friday, March 16, 5-7pm
Cost: Free and open to the public, all ages welcome.

Splash - 4th of July  

The Splash takes place on July 4th at scenic Lake Meridian Park from 12 noon until the last firework is lit.
An annual event.

Cornucopia Days 5K Fun Run & Walk - July   

Both serious runners and casual walkers enjoy this event!  

Occurs annually in conjunction with the Kent Lions' Cornucopia Days.

Christmas Rush Fun Run & Walk - December 

Random prize drawings, live music and awards for top 5 finishers in each age group make the Christmas Rush a fun family event. Both the 5k and 10k are certified out and back courses.  Last year, over 1,800 people participated in the event. 
This event occurs annually on the 2nd Saturday in December.

Location: Riverbend Golf Complex
Times: 10k @ 9:50 a.m. -and- 5k @ 10:00
