State law provides that all correspondence sent to elected officials (including email) is public record. Any correspondence sent to the City Council will be disclosed to any person who requests it, unless exempt from disclosure under state law. 

 

Dennis and his family have called Kent their home since 1995.  He works in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - computer mapping and analysis, database creation and maintenance.  He is a graduate of the University of Washington, and is a certified GIS Professional (GISP).

 

Dennis is a long-standing member of PTA and has held PTA leadership positions at the Kent School District level.  He is a two-time Golden Acorn award-winner and Outstanding Advocate award-winner from the Kent Area PTA Council.

 

He has served on the Kent Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, and on the Kent School District Citizens’ Facilities Planning Committee, and the Citizens’ Boundary Review Committee.  He chaired Citizens for Kent Schools, the community organization that supports KSD levy/bond election campaigns.

 

He is also a member on Operations Committee and Public Works Committee. On the Regional level, He is representing the City of Kent on Regional Transit Committee, Regional Policy Committe and Mental Health and Drug Dependency Oversight Committee with Sound Cities Associations.

 

Dennis and his wife Karyn have three daughters.  They live in the Chancellor’s Crest neighborhood near Clark Lake.
