Lake Fenwick Park
This is the 13th year volunteers have participated in building and maintaining Kent’s 26.2 miles of trails. This year, one of Lake Fenwick Park’s trails will get some TLC. It's a beautiful forested park on the west hill- if you've never been there, it's worth discovering and will probably become your favorite destination for a walk. Registration is requried and closes at noon three days before the event, so sign up today and reserve your spot!

Spring Into Health at the Birch Creek Spring Health Fair! The King County Housing Authority, Kent Youth and Family Services and the Refugee Women's Alliance have partnered up to host a spring health fair for the community of Kent. The health fair will be on Saturday, May 18th, 2013 from 11:00 AM- 3:00 PM It will be held at the Birch Creek Youth Center located at 12910 SE 273rd St,Kent,WA 98030. The health fair is is a chance for individuals and their families to gain more awareness and access to health organizations and their resources. We will provide health services, health screenings, and general information on how to live a healthy lifestyle. There will also be games and activities for children to participate in!
Honk! JR. – A Musical Tale of the Ugly Duckling

Follow the adventures of Ugly, whose odd, gawky looks incite taunting and teasing by his family and barnyard neighbors. Separated from the farm and pursued by a hungry cat, Ugly must find his way home. Along his rollicking and harrowing journey he not only discovers his true beauty and glorious destiny, but also finds love and acceptance in all its forms. This witty and fun-loving musical is appropriate for all ages and emphasizes the importance of believing in oneself and accepting others as they are. The show runs May 16 and May 17 at 7 p.m., and May 18 at 5 p.m. Tickets are available for $5 per person at the door; children under 5 years of age are free. Honk! JR. is a contemporary retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling, with music by George Stiles and the book and lyrics by Anthony Drewe. Honk! JR. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
