New Race Course in 2009!
Celebrate 27 years of fast running and holiday cheer at the Christmas Rush Fun Run/Walk. Due to flood control management along the Green River Trail, the Christmas Rush Fun Run will take on a new look and new direction in 2009. Both the 5k and 10k will now start and stop at the Riverbend Golf Course parking lot just off of Meeker Street. Parking for the race will remain at Russell Road Park as in years past. Once you park, you will see signs directing you to the registration/starting area at the Riverbend Golf Course. Please allow for an additional 5 minute walk to get to the registration and starting area.
Race Course
Start at the Riverbend Golf Course Parking lot. Head West on Meeker Street over the Green River. Turn North on Frager Road and run along the river. Both the 5k and 10k races are out and back and certified. Mile markers will be clearly marked.

Special in-store registration at RoadRunner Sports at Kent Station. Register at RoadRunner Sports in Kent and receive a 10% off of any footwear at the time of registration. Registration deadline: Thursday, December 10.
The Balanced Athlete in historic downtown Kent will also offer in-store registration through Thursday, December 10.
Packet Pick Up
RoadRunner Sports – Wednesday December 9, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Come to RoadRunner Sports at Kent Station, 444 Ramsay Way, Ste 114 to pick up your race number and be ready to go on race day! Pick up on Wednesday, December 9 only.

Day of race registration begins at 8am.
Directions
New Directions from From I-5: PLEASE READ
Due to the new race course, Meeker St. will be partially closed. Please follow these directions for faster arrival time.
Take Kent/Des Moines Exit. Head east down the hill. Go through Meeker St. light and continue to Washington Ave. Turn left on Washington and proceed to Meeker Street. Turn left on Meeker St. and go approximately two miles. Turn right on Russell Road and go two blocks. Parking will be on your right.
From Hwy 167:
Take Willis St. Exit. Head west on Willis St. to Washington Ave and turn right. Proceed to Meeker Street and turn left. Go approximately two miles and turn right on Russell Road. Go two blocks and parking will be on your right at Russell Road Park. Follow signs to walk to Registration and Starting area
Prizes for the top 5 in each age group as well as prizes for overall winners. Live Jazz, random prize drawings, refreshments and a smooth, flat course make the Christmas Rush a tradition for families in the Puget Sound region. Both the 5k and 10k courses are certified.
